Fees and Funding
Fees
Our unfunded hours fees from September 2025 are £7.00 for 2 - 3 year olds and £6.50 for 3 and 4 year olds. If your child turns 3 years after the start of a term you will be charged the 2 year rate until the term following your child's birthday. 'Flexi rate' for adhoc sessions if space allows is £7.50 per hour. These fees relate to hours not funded by EYEF as detailed below. Please see our fees and funding policy (10.12) for further details.
Early Years Entitlement Funding – for all children from 3 years
In the term following your child’s third birthday, you will be eligible for 15 hours per week free childcare funded by Devon County Council.
If you choose to use these hours at pre-school, we will arrange this for you.
Funding for eligible working families - up to 30 Hours per week for children aged 9 months to 4 years
This funding is for parents that meet the minimum income requirements of 16 hours a week at national minimum wage and under the household income limit of £100,000. Check the Government's Best Start in Life website to see what childcare funding you are entitled to: Best Start in Life - Best Start in Life
We can accept 30 hour funding codes which can be shared with other settings. We are currently open for 26 hours per week. You must make the application the term before you wish to start receiving the funding and you can apply up to 16 weeks before your child turns 9 months. You need to apply online before the deadline to receive a code to give to your childcare provider. The deadline is the day before the new term begins, but we encourage you to apply earlier, and recommend applying at least 6 weeks before the deadline. If you are eligible, you'll receive an 11-digit code which you then take to your childcare provider along with your national insurance number and child's date of birth. Funding codes need to be renewed by parents every 3 months.
2 Year Targeted Funding which is now referred to as 'Families requiring additional support' (FRAS) funding
Some parents of 2-year-old children may also be entitled to targeted funding of 15 hours childcare support, if they receive some additional forms of government support. Parents have to apply for this, you can find out how to apply for this by visiting the Devon County Council website by using this link: Citizen Portal - Sign in
If your child is in receipt of funded childcare, we will ask you to complete and sign a declaration form (this form can be found in our parent welcome pack section of the website) detailing the funding you are eligible for, your funding code and you will need to state if this funding is to be split with another provider and if so, how the funding should be split. We require at least 4 weeks notice not including school holidays if you wish to reduce the funded hours so that we are still able to claim the funding. Please refer to our fees and funding policy for further information.
